Henny Valentino is a Surinamese/Dutch visual artist that currently lives and works in London, UK. Henny creates intricate autobiographical narratives utilising automated writing that results in gestures approached through installation, sculpture, print, painting, film and sound.

In his praxis, he delves into the depths of memory, amidst the layers of longing and displacement. Recreating sensory impressions, of places that have felt like home throughout Valentino’s life.

Henny explores the intersections of sculpture, installation, video, and sound to construct immersive experiences. With an artistic practice rooted in the technique of flow writing, to explore and gather source material. Creating fictional versions of real places and events, blurring the lines between fact and fiction.
